What is our patent?
One fuel. No oxygen. No mixing.
The conventional approach
Traditional gas-based weapon simulators combine propane, acetylene and oxygen. Holding a fuel source next to oxygen introduces risk, and the gases must be carefully mixed for the system to work safely and reliably.
The RDX approach
RDX has spent years perfecting weapon sound generation from a single fuel. Our patented system needs only a small amount of propane or MAPP to simulate thousands of rounds per charge — with no oxygen and no gas mixing.
Rate of fire and recoil
Simulated 5.56mm and 7.62mm fire reaches rates of up to 1,200 rounds per minute, with recoil to match — so trainees feel, as well as hear, the weapon.
Shot capacity & safety
Thousands of rounds from a lighter-sized charge.
A single charge — about the same amount of gas as a disposable lighter — produces over 2,000 shots in the 5.56mm range. Charges are transferred in seconds from a standard 400g cylinder using an off-the-shelf adapter.
